Motivation

Why do we do what we do? What is our motivation for church planting?
God in Christ has called us into a relationship with himself and he is keen for us to pass that on to others.

We need to live and breathe the good news, in order not only to live for Jesus but to live like him.God is a missionary God who brought the church into being. God calls his people to be missionary people and to live his message as well as take his message in word and action to others.  In that sense, we are incarnational.  It is often said that if a church isn’t mission centred, then it is not a church; the church’s focus is to be outward, rather than inward.

We need to live and breathe the good news, in order not only to live for Jesus but to live like him.  This will enable us to connect with people and truly engage in the ‘mission of God’ so that they too will be attracted to Christ (Luke 10:2).  An outcome of this will be the need to gather people together for encouragement and to pass on that good news to others.  The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) has become the ‘Great Omission’ for too many.  Let us once again get excited and be thrilled that God has chosen his people to take himself to others, and along the way grow and multiply churches.
